Audrey + Andrew

Audrey + Andrew’s wedding was such a lovely reminder of why I love California. Great weather, mind-blowing florals, and light that I want to pack up and bring with me to Colorado. We started the day in an Airbnb overlooking Downtown LA, complete with 360 window light…and made our way to the Disney Concert Hall for...

Shannon + Eric

Shannon + Eric were inspired by nature and found an outdoor ceremony location that was surrounded by lush greenery.  The Fullerton Arboretum fit the bill perfectly! For their reception they gathered a small group of their friends and family at Seabirds Kitchen and dined on the best vegan food in the city and danced the...

Joshua Tree National Park Couple Session – Kyle + Kirsten

During a week long trip to Joshua Tree, I had the pleasure of photographing a few sweet couples at Heck Yeah Photo Camp. One afternoon they put together styled couples for us to photograph and try out the tips we have learned. With only 3 couples and over 100 photographers it was a challenge to say the least. (They had 4 fashion models as well – but lets be real, I love photographing love)

For me, I just wanted the couples to feel comfortable and loved. It’s scary to get your photo taken, let alone have 20+ photographers surrounding you and most of them only able to take the lead for 1 minutes at a time. For the few minutes I had with each couple, they made magic happen. Thank you Kyle + Kirsten for opening up, not being afraid to show a little love to your other half, and Kirsten…I want that coat. 🙂

Laura + Dustin – Shade Hotel Wedding – Manhattan Beach, California

Laura + Dustin are the perfect couple to end my 2015 wedding season! They are both sweet, soft-spoken, amazing souls that just bring smiles to everyone they encounter. Their first look brought tears to my eyes, and watching them enjoy their first married sunset with toes in the sand made my heart grow. Without giving too much away, their wedding day was one for the books….and perfectly planned by my girl Jen of First Pick Planning

Carly + Zack – 1 Year Anniversary Session – Bishops Peak Couple Session – San Luis Obispo, California

A year ago today, Carly + Zack tied the knot at Disneyland. It was such a fun day filled with the sparkly bridesmaid dresses, happy family, friends that partied so hard the roof actually fell down (really), and riding Disney Park rides at 2am. We even had an empty Disney Castle for couple photos….where I shot one of my favorite photos ever. It was a day I will never forget and feel so lucky to have been a part of it.

So when Carly contacted me about doing anniversary photos in San Luis Obispo a few weeks ago, I jumped at the idea. A little hiking at sunrise? Down. It was such a unique experience and I’m blown away by my couples ability to pick amazing locations!

Congrats you guys, and I can’t wait to help you guys capture every year from here on out! <3

Audrey + Andrew – Laguna Beach Engagement Session – Laguna Beach, California

Audrey + Andrew…or A2 as I shall call them from now on, were such a blast to hang out with during their engagement session! When we were brainstorming for their session, we came up with a few ideas; nerf guns, picnics, flowwy dresses in the water, flower crowns…the list goes on. While we might of not done everything, what we did photograph was nothing less than magical.  We photographed everything around the Montage in Laguna Beach, and lucked out with not only the weather, but the crowds.

Laura + Dustin – San Francisco, CA Engagement Session

Laura + Dustin are tying the knot this weekend so I wanted to share a few of my favorite images from their San Fransisco engagement session! We started at the Palace of Fine Arts and ended at Baker Beach! You would never expect to have such a clean backdrop on Labor Day weekend, but things just fell into place beautifully!

Brooke + Nathan – Newhall Mansion Wedding – Piru, California

It’s hard to sum up such an emotional, loving day in just a few sentences…so I hope that my photos pick up where my writing will leave off. Brooke + Nathan’s wedding was one of those special events where the day of the wedding I already knew most of the family. We spent the night before walking through the mansion, choosing the location for the ceremony, relaxing by the pool, and talking about life while joking about jumping in the fountain. The morning of the wedding, I couldn’t sleep in…I was too excited. So instead of jumping in a car and watching traffic, I walked up one flight of stairs and started shooting details.

Brooke + Nathan’s #1 goal was to make their wedding a reflection of them. After their first look, we all stepped away to let the couple pray and have a moment alone. It was one of those moments that I wish happened more at weddings. Brooke’s father married them in the backyard of the Mansion, overlooking a wooden cross that Nathan and his Father made by hand. Everything tied together so perfectly, and I feel so lucky I could be a part of it.

Paradise Falls feels like a botanical garden on one of the islands of Hawaii…and since I’m a huge fan of that little paradise, I LOVED shooting Heidi + Jason’s wedding. It was a warm, but beautiful day with a first look, lush gardens, and so much love you couldn’t help but have a great time.

Nancy + David – Castlewood Country Club Wedding – Pleasanton, California

Within the first email, I knew I would love shooting Nancy + David’s wedding. They not only picked e a beautiful venue in the Bay Area, but they share my obsession with trees and beautiful light. I loved traveling down to the bay area, and was honored to work alongside some fantastic vendors as well. Charmed Events designed a beautiful event, and it was so refreshing to work with a team that loved details as much as I do.

To sum up the amazingness of this wedding…I want to leave you with four words: First Dance Confetti Cannon.
