Difference between Highlight and Fusion Video

Consider this a knowledge throw-down. Video Style.

I’ve partnered up with Kiera and Josh of Jakfoto Productions and have been offering video to my couples. I know, mind-blowing. How it works: my couples book video through me, and I hire Kiera and Josh to shoot video alongside me. Same coverage time, same bad-humor, same love for Sci-Fi and Firefly…basically a red-haired version of me shooting video. For us, working together is kinda like that word I learned in college but never really had an excuse to use…Synergy. (Thanks Design Degree!)

After the wedding day I receive the DVD, I package it up, and send it out. My couples get a team that loves to work together and a beautiful video of their wedding day. Win-win in my book.

Anyways, I usually explain the difference between Highlight video and Fusion Video in person, but I thought it would be a good idea to also do a blog post on it. When you book video through me, you have two choices: Highlight or Fusion Video.

Highlight video: little highlights of the wedding day edited together to a pretty song and snippets of well-said speeches/toasts. It’s usually a 4-7 minute video that tells the story of your wedding day. It’s all the good parts…without the boring, old-school things you might see in your parent’s 2-hour wedding video.

Fusion video: it’s kinda the same as Highlight video. The only difference is that Kiera works in photos that I took throughout the day into the video. And she makes my photos look goooood. 😉

Andrea and Andres booked video earlier this year…and after about two seconds into their wedding day, we knew we wanted to use it as an example of both Highlight and Fusion video. It might just be my couples, but it seems like every person that has also booked video is extra-mind-blowing-friendship-bracelet-amazing.
