Samantha + Joe

So I’ve been to Piney River Ranch a few times in this last year, and every time I’m there I’m in awe. Once you get up to Vail, CO there’s a 12-13 mile dirt road between the main hwy and this perfect oasis. Let me just tell you right now…it’s worth it.  The lake is jaw-dropping and the wildlife reminds you of a time before people made Colorado their suburban home. It’s wild, and oh so beautiful.

So when Sam and Joe contacted me about their wedding I was jumping up and down behind my computer screen. Not only are Sam + Joe exactly my type of people (and I would of traveled anywhere for them), but they picked one of my favorite locations to say their “I do’s”. While Sam was getting her hair and makeup finished she requested just one thing, a photo of a moose. Now even though Piney is known for their Moose sightings, I’ve never seen one in person. So when a baby moose showed up as soon as we started wedding party photos I did a mental fist pump — my job was done!

S+J…you guys rock. I wish we didn’t live so far away, because I want to make future camping trips plans, meet Jack, and maybe I could learn how to ski one of these days….
