FAQ – Why photographers should hang out in rose bushes

I had a couple of photographers email me and ask how I got the picture below and where they could buy the Photoshop action. Well, I have great news…no Photoshop is required, just the crazy desire to jump in a rose bush!

Example: Me just hanging out in a rose bush. When I’m shooting, I keep a good deal of leaves in the shot, but make sure that their aren’t any leaves blocking Jessica and Bryan’s face. This usually involves me holding the plant of choice in front of the camera to get cool textures and colors. Any leaf will do, but the thinner the leaf the cooler the effect. I also find that this works even better when you’re shooting toward the sun.
