I’m so a southern California girl. Example…I always end up wearing dresses and flip flops on rainy days. I only own one (broken) umbrella, and don’t even know what a snow scraper looks like. Also, if I was stuck in a snow storm, I would try to youtube the steps for putting on snow chains. That is…if I owned a set.
I try to tell myself I’m a nature girl. Especially after watching Man Vs. Wild for the 5th straight hour on a Friday night. But I quickly realize my granola skills quickly disappear when faced with real weather.
Last month when I was driving to Vegas for WPPI (photography conference), I saw snow falling for the first time. At first I thought it was rain, but realized that my side mirrors were being covered with fluffy stuff. I think I squeaked when I realized I was living my childhood dreams, and quickly pulled off the side of the road to play and take photos.
Luckily, I was with my really good friends Ashleigh & Sarina. As photographers, of course photos had to be created to document the adventure. 🙂
Ashleigh & Sarina 🙂
Sarina took the one of me below. At this point I think I was drenched, but also my childhood dreams were fulfilled…so I didn’t notice the cold water too much. 🙂
Ashleigh took some super cute photos of me so had to share. 🙂
Snow? What snow?
Yes. I was wearing a dress in the snow. That’s how this southern California girl rolls…
