I hope everyone had a great Christmas! For me, I spent the time with family mostly…and worked in a little relaxing. For me, relaxing is playing Skyrim and watching an insane amount of TV shows on Netflix. One of the shows I finished was Lie To Me. Since then, I’ve been obsessing over watching peoples faces to see if I can read them. If that doesn’t scare friends away I don’t know what will.
Anyways, the whole reason for this update: I’m taking this week to recharge for the new year, so I’m going to be in half work/half relax mode. Basically I will just be checking my email and getting my last two sessions delivered. I start up again Jan 7th with my first wedding of 2012, so these few weeks of rest is just what the Dr. ordered.
I’m also planning on a mini road trip to San Fransisco for the New Year. I think I might start ever new year in a new place. 🙂
But back to this session: I shot two rolls of film during Shruthi + Mike’s Wedding Day Re-do and wanted to share. I was actually surprised with the colors that I got back. It’s not my normal look, but I kinda like it. The surroundings really reflected a green light on the two of them…which makes sense since they were standing in the middle of a forest with no direct light. I’m trying for the life of me to remember what film I used…I think it was Portra 400. I also learned that day that while it’s around 40 degrees, it feels like it takes forever to get through a roll of film.
Fave.

I disagree! Although yes, the colors may not be “you you YOU”, everything ELSE screams YOU! The bright colors, the light background, the beautiful poses and emotions! And your fav is my fav.
I’m going to have to check out Lie to Me now!
I so want to shoot film. Just love how these turned out. Film is so beautiful and rich in color, it’s crazy.
