Sometimes wedding days just fall into place. Wether it’s the couple, location, light or just timeline of the day…if I get two of these I consider myself lucky. But for Judy and Kevin’s wedding…all four made an appearance. We spent the day at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, and I was absolutely going crazy over the great locations and great light. Plus Judy and Kevin planned the wedding to a ‘t’, we had plenty of time to relax throughout the day and I had plenty of time to find the best spots to take photos.
Oh and did I mention Kevin planed the entire wedding? I only met them once before the wedding, and the very next day Judy flew back to Hong Kong. But within that 45 minute meeting I knew they loved each other, and I also knew we would get along. Kevin definitely had a vision for the day, and used his Traffic Manager skills to keep the day going smoothly. It also helped that they had a first look, without it we wouldn’t of gotten even close to the number of portraits they got that day.
Also, the lobby in the Portofino Hotel is my happy place. Other than the moss table that I’m two clicks away from stealing…the light in that room is just plain pretty.
Welcome to my happy place.

P.S. I also have to thank Natalie Williams for this wedding. She’s an amazing photographer and Judy + Kevin would of never met me if it wasn’t for her. You know I <3 you Natalie!
