So other than my love for text messaging, a lot has been happening these last few weeks. That’s not counting this week…since this week I spent my time sleeping off an evil flu. Seriously, I think this flu had a cape and fangs. (Unless you like that type of thing, then feel free to insert your own favorite evil metaphor). Anyways…
A few months ago I met up with Kiera of Jakfoto Productions to start working on my promo-video. For those who don’t know, a promo video can be many things, but for me it’s basically a way for people to see who I am as a person and how I create what I do. Yeah, I’m allowing all of you guys to see how goofy I am. Its a good thing, I promise.
So, a few weeks ago we successively filmed the promo video and right now Kiera is editing out all of my incomplete sentences and ums…. (I gave her a lot to cut…sorry) and making one shiny video to share with the world.
She shared little sound bites of my interview portion with me, and I remember bowing to her…telling her she works miracles.
We still have a little time before the video comes out, so I wanted to share a little teaser from the day.
Cute right? These two actually might look familiar, Danielle and Christian own Crepes Bonaparte (they do yummy catering AND have a Food Truck). They were on The Great Food Truck Race that was on the Food Network not too long ago.
Back to the whole reason of this post (seriously, I’m like a cat with shinny things…easily distracted). If you have followed my blog for some time, you know I really look up to a photographer named Jasmine Star. She’s an OC local and has an inspirational story and is always helping the photography community as a whole. Last year, she partnered up with CreativeLIVE and shot a wedding LIVE for the world to see. I don’t know about you, but shooting a wedding when you have thousands of photographers watching you is a tad scary.
Jasmine and CreativeLIVE are at it again, this time geared toward photographers working on the business side of things. Last Friday they asked for photographers to send in a 60 second video basically explaining who they are and why they should be chosen to go.
I thought to myself…why not?
Kiera from Jakfoto was kind enough to put together another video (a.k.a. me babbling into the camera and she magically filming/editing it together).
I wanted to share my entry with you guys. It’s a little preview of who I am, before the big shiny video gets delivered.

Special thanks to the band When I was 12 for letting us use ” You Me & Symmetry” for this video. You guys rock!

INSANELY COOL!!!
So I randomly discovered your blog, and I have to say I LOVE your video! I really hope you win a spot at the J* workshop! I was dying to go but I really have NO skill in taking videos or editing videos either so I opted not to submit a video taken with my mac haha. Anyway, I feel like you and I are very similar, and I think we would have a lot of the same questions regarding the business side of things – so I hope to see you at the CreativeLIVE workshop : )
Sorry for the babbling – I get distracted easily too haha.
Dude. The video is PHENOMENAL. I love it so much! Better start baking those cupcakes, girl!
XO
OH MY GOSH!
