Jessica + Tony { Trabuco Canyon Engagement Session }

Jessica + Tony are a very special couple…other than the fact that they laugh at me and think I’m funny. Jessica is a photographer herself and has been shadowing me at weddings for the last 8 months or so. The first time I met Jessica I didn’t even know she was getting married. She was just a super sweet photographer that wanted to meet over sushi and ask me questions. Over sushi she told me about Tony, and brought me cupcakes from where he works. After that moment I knew she was special. Anyone that bribes me with cupcakes is special in my eyes…especially if they were planning on giving me cupcakes with my logo on them. (nope…still don’t think it’s creepy even a year later)

It kinda worked out perfectly that I started needing a non-shooting assistant to come along with me to weddings at the same time Jessica asked. I feel super special that I could teach her what I know…and I can see her work improve with every wedding. Plus she is an active participant in our car-dance-parties.

I really-really can’t wait for their wedding this November at the Villa del Sol d’Oro  in Sierra Madre, CA. I’ve been able to watch her and Tony put together their wedding piece-by-piece…and just know that I might be bawling the entire day. Bawling in between my sweet dance moves….

The two photos up there are the reason I make a fool of myself while shooting. I like to pretend that I’m funny instead of completely strange. 😉
