A few weeks ago Cory, Jerika, Ben, Ashley and Niall met up in Laguna to have an afternoon of shooting and hanging out. The main goal for me was to shoot more film. But more importantly than to just shoot film…I wanted to push myself a little farther and shoot a roll of film I would probably never shoot on a wedding day. 3200 Ilford Black and White film.
Grain and I are pen-pals…we like each other from a distance but as soon as we start hanging out it can get awkward. After shooting digital for so many years the last thing I would want in a photo is grain. Mostly because digital grain can look really funky and mess with color…but I’ve forgotten how pretty film grain is.
And then I shot a roll of Fuji Pro 400. I’m a tad obsessed with Jerika’s hair.
And these are the pretty digital shots that just come to me so much more naturally. I really like mixing film and digital. Lets hope my couples this year like it as much as I do!
Coffee break number 1.
Coffee break #2…my type of people.
