Rebecca + James – Nelson Ghost Town Elopement – Nelson, Nevada

I love elopements. Something about them pulls at the heartstrings…and when a sparkly dress is thrown in the mix I kinda go nuts. Rebecca + James have known each other for over 12 years, and knew they wanted to make their wedding day a private, personal ceremony. Other than the officiant (she’s fantastic btw), I was the only other person there and had the honor of being a witness. Yeah, extremely cool. 

Even though I was meeting Rebecca + James in person for the first time, the location was very familiar to me. It’s a little off the beaten path, but hands down one of my favorite places to shoot in Nevada. We used the last little bit of sunlight to explore the area before the newlyweds drove back to Vegas for a nice meal.
